Different types of contracts can vary depending on how long you intend to stay—from shorter leases no longer than 18 months to three or four-year contracts with the possibility of renewal.
In Italy the price of accommodation varies depending on the city and region you live in. In general, it can be said that in the big cities of course the cost is on average higher. Properties may be rented fully or partially furnished, or totally unfurnished. For long-term rentals, between two and four years, they are typically unfurnished. Unfurnished in Italy means no appliances whatsoever—no refrigerator, no stove, no oven. When it comes to short-term rentals and short-term contracts, you can expect apartments and houses to be fully furnished.
